I cannot believe I have not posted this brownie recipe prior to now! These brownies are so special to our family. Jay's mom made these for him and his sisters while growing up, and now they are an extra special treat for her grandchildren as well. We are very lucky!
I asked ET if he would like something different other than cupcakes for his actual birthday (I planned on making cupcakes for his party the following weekend). He responded almost immediately with, "Grandma's brownies!"
These brownies are moist and topped with a fudge frosting. My biggest recommendation is to keep these in the fridge. They are so much better cold!

Brownie Batter:
1 cup white sugar
1 stick of unsalted butter, softened
4 eggs
1 16oz. can Hershey's syrup (or you can measure your own from the bottle)
1 cup flour
1 tsp. vanilla
Chocolate Frosting:
1 stick butter
1 cup white sugar
4 T. milk
3/4 cup mini marshmallows
3/4 cup milk chocolate chips
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 10x15 (approximate size) jelly roll pan.
Mix sugar and butter in a blender for about 3 minutes. Mix in eggs, vanilla, and chocolate syrup. Slowly add flour just until combined. Pour batter into prepared jelly roll pan, and bake for 22-25 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. You do not want to overbake or the brownies will start to pull away from the sides of the pan.
Once the brownies have cooled, begin making the chocolate fudge frosting. First, combine butter, sugar and milk in a saucepan. Boil for 1 minute. Remove from heat and immediately add chocolate chips and mini marshmallows. Beat with an electric hand-held mixer until cool and shiny. Pour immediately over brownies and spread. The frosting sets up fast, so you will need to move quickly.
