These were super easy, and soooooo good!
Recipe from C Love
Brownie Layer:
1 box of family size brownie mix for a 9x13 pan + plus ingredients needed on the back of the box
Cookie Dough Layer:
3/4 cup butter
3/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
3/4 cup granulated white sugar
3 Tablespoons milk
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups mini chocolate chips
Chocolate Drizzle:
1/2-1 cup semisweet (or milk chocolate) chips + 1-2 teaspoons shortening for drizzle, optional
Bake brownies in a 9x13 pan according to directions on the package. Let cool to room temperature.
In a medium bowl, use an electric mixer to combine butter, brown sugar and white sugar. Mix in milk and vanilla. Mix in flour just until combined. Stir in chocolate chips. Spread cookie dough over the cooled brownies. Refrigerate until the dough is quite firm.
If you'd like to add chocolate drizzle on top, melt 1/2-1 cup chocolate chips with 1-2 teaspoons of shortening in a plastic Ziploc baggie in the microwave. Cook at 30 second intervals until chocolate is completely melted. Snip off the corner of the bag, and squeeze the bag to drizzle the chocolate on top of brownies. Sprinkle additional mini chocolate chips on top, if desired. Refrigerate before cutting into squares.
