Grandma's Stuffing!

This is the best stuffing I have ever come across. Luckily Grandma Mavis shared the recipe with us!

1 pound Original Jimmy Dean Ground Sausage
1 onion, diced
3 stalks celery, diced
1 (14oz.)bag cubed stuffing (I used Brownberry Stuffing - Sage, Onion)
1 tsp. poultry seasoning
2 1/2 cups chicken broth
1/2 cup melted butter

In a large skillet over medium heat, crumble sausage. Add onion and celery and cook, stirring occasionally until sausage is brown. In a large bowl, place cubed stuffing. Add sausage mixture. Sprinkle with poultry seasoning. Pour broth and butter over the top and toss to combine. Spoon mixture into a 9x13 or large casserole dish; cover. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.  I usually also let it bake an additional 15 minutes with the cover off, so the top gets a bit crunchy.

  1. Perfect timing - we're having a turkey dinner today and I needed a stuffing recipe!
